Kenyatta University celebrates a remarkable achievement by one of our own! PhD student Wanja Wangondu from the Department of Business Administration has won a competitive scholarship for a 9-day Research Methods training and conference at Leipzig University, Germany, as part of the ACCESS Summer School program.
This outstanding accomplishment showcases the tangible benefits of KU's participation in the ACCESS 2.0 project (2025-2029), funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The project, led locally by Dr. S. Muathe from our Business Administration Department, focuses on enhancing entrepreneurship, innovation, and career readiness among students across 11 participating Kenyan universities.
Wanja's presentation at the ACCESS Centre, captured in these photos, demonstrates how our students are actively engaging with international academic communities and benefiting from the practical opportunities this collaboration provides. Her success exemplifies the project's commitment to bridging academia and industry while creating real pathways for student advancement.
This achievement reflects KU's growing reputation as a leading institution in fostering student excellence and international collaboration, with more opportunities ahead for our student community through the ACCESS 2.0 initiative.
