Applications are invited from qualified applicants for the above MECOHD Program, which will be offered at City Campus under the Evening & Weekend mode of study, beginning September 2025. The programme is developed and will be delivered through collaborative efforts between Kenyatta University and the University of Pavia (Italy), together with their partners: Cooperation and Development Network (CDN), International Committee for the Development of Peoples (CISP), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Tangaza University.

Minimum Entry Requirements

Department of Applied Economics

Master of Economics (Cooperation & Human Development)

Bachelor’s Degree of at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in Economics, Economics & Finance, Economics & Statis- tics or a relevant Social Science from a recognized university OR;

Second Class (Lower Division) in the above stated disciplines and two (2) years proven relevant work experience

OR;

Any other degree and a Bridging Course for The Master of Eco- nomics (Cooperation and Human Development)

 

East Africans:                               246,000/= p.a.

Non East Africans: 307,500/= p.a.

DURATION AND PATTERN OF THE PROGRAMME

The Master programmes offered by Coursework, Examination and Project. extends over a minimum period of eighteen (18) months. The Language of instruction is ENGLISH

 

MODE OF APPLICATION

All applications for admission to the University programmes are made online through ecitizen via the link ku.ecitizen.go.ke To ease the application process, please ensure you have

·       met the eligibility criteria for the program.

·       scanned Academic Transcripts, Certificates and identification documents i.e. your National Identification Card

·       clear Passport Photo in .jpg, .jpeg, png format.

·       the required application fee of Kshs. 3,050/= (for East Africans) on your MPESA line for completing the application process.

Payment for online application is only by MPESA through details provided on the application portal.

NB

Limited scholarship opportunities are available for qualified but disadvantaged students. Beneficiaries of the Scholarship will be selected through an analysis and evaluation of Transcripts, Curriculum Vitae, Need and mo- tivation for the programme. Applicants may be subjected to interviews.

At Kenyatta University, admissions are Continuous. However, if you intend to apply for Scholarship, please complete your applications by 13th of August, 2025.
