  • 2020: Development grant worth Kshs.2,538,594/= (Two million, Five and Thirty Eight thousand, Five hundred and Ninety Four Kenyan shillings) for establishment of the KU coffee House.
  • 2018- 2020:     Bill and Melinda Gates grant ($100,000) Funded project on Enhancing Community Food Security in Urban and Rural Areas through Outreach Youth Champions (EFSOYC).  This is a Misk Grand Challenges winning project funded under Grand Challenges Explorations.
  • 2013- 2015:      IDRC grant ($60,000) Funded project on An Evidence-Based Approach to Enhancing Kenyan University Student Training and Preparation for Professional Practice with colleagues Charlene VanLeeuwen and Lori Weeks of University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI).
  • May 2014:       UNICEF – Qualitative study on MNCH in Homabay and Turkana Counties.
  • April 2012:      Engberg Fewster International Development Grant from the Canadian Home Eonomics Foundation as financial support for my exchange visit to University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI).

  • 2013- 2015: Was a Co-Principal investigator of the Kenyatta University (KU) and University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) team that conducted research on “An Evidence-Based Approach to Enhancing Kenyan University Student Training and Preparation for Professional Practice”. This was an IDRC funded project.
